"How it should be is not the way it is in the business world" Profitability of starting a business

As mentioned in the title, I would like to write about the profitability of starting a business based on what I know.

I always write from a subjective point of view, so if I could provide as much data as possible, my writing would be more persuasive.

When we think of starting a business, the first thing that comes to mind is a well-known service.

Daito Trust Construction, Yoshinoya, Yamato Transport, Yamada Denki, Recruit, Nintendo

These are just a few of the companies that represent Japan, and they have various internal controls in place.

But is it necessary to avoid these services when starting a business?

I would say that's not the case here.

No matter how big a company is, it is not possible for them to take on everything, and it is precisely because of this that they are prone to the slowness of decision-making that is known as the "big company disease."

If you can make up for that with mobility, you can compete even with a small amount of capital.

If you can't compete even with a small amount of capital, then your product doesn't meet the needs of the market, is too niche, your sales method is poor, or you don't have the technical capabilities to achieve it.

It is inferred that

There is a famous strategy called the Lanchester strategy, which is a strategy for the weak to defeat the strong.

This means that if there are equal numbers and forces, the one with the larger number will win.

That's the strategy.

But just think about it: is there anyone who would go head-to-head to beat big capital?

If there were such a person, they would have to be a complete Don Quixote, but can a smaller person beat a larger person, for example?

That's it.

Normally you can't win, but if the military strength is different here, that's not necessarily the case.

What if the military had guns?

Can a small person beat a big person?

In other words, the Lanchester strategy is about creating weapons that allow small people to defeat larger people.

In the past, there was a business called Mikawaya Goyoki, which was always there to serve people's needs.

This is something that large companies can't do.

Or it takes an incredibly long time.

But there is an opportunity to win

No matter what kind of cannon you have, if you can't hit the target, it's meaningless

It's just like the battle between the Yamato battleship and American fighter planes.

The advantage of aircraft over battleships was their maneuverability, and aircraft were the main force in World War II.

Some people may not know that the Zero fighter played an active role in early battles.

Japan Deserves to Lose, But It Doesn't

Protracted fighting and protracted occupation

It can be said that they all lost out due to the prolonged fighting and the gap with the superpower, the United States.

This is not the topic for today, so I will skip it, but I would say that the strategy that small capital should adopt is localized battles, short-term battles.

If you were to hire someone to clean your room, you could go to a lesser known place that will come quickly, or a large company like Duskin, but they are fully booked and will have to come a week later?

First of all, many people would say that big capital is better, but what if you want it cleaned up by tomorrow?

Maybe you will be thinking, "Should I ask someone with a little capital to help me?"

It's not that difficult to target such gaps and do business.

Unless you're looking to suddenly make a ton of money

It's best to take small steps like this and then tackle big business.

Even if you admire a famous celebrity, will you suddenly become famous? That's not the case.

Maybe a video goes viral and someone suddenly becomes famous, but that person didn't just start making videos.

I'm sure you learned how to make videos, thought up ideas for videos, and had a brilliant idea of when to release them.

Everyone thinks about big business, but that is like running a 45km marathon without any training. Anyone who can do that is probably doing some kind of preparation somewhere.

But you’re starting a business.

The background is unknown, but it is said that they were a foot soldier unit made up of peasants who had nothing.

For an ashigaru to climb up there, strength alone would not be enough.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi was able to become the ruler of Japan because he made full use of his genius mind, and although that was also due to natural intelligence, anyone can do it if they study.

Even if someone is suddenly appointed as a general without going through all that, there is no way they can do it because they have no backbone.

Even if he won, it was because his subordinates were excellent.

Don't overestimate it as your own strength.

Since you are currently a foot soldier who was born from the peasants, I think you should first prove yourself in battle.

First, let's fight, but before that, let's remember Lanchester's strategy.

The battle is, so to speak, actual work.

The actual military forces have to move, and fighting with them alone is too inefficient.

So what has become important recently is information warfare.

Information warfare is just using social media

Many people don't know about your services.

The purpose is to spread awareness of this issue, and this can be done with just a smartphone.

Writing is important, but the question is whether to do it or not.

If you take a break because you think it's not effective, your business will suffer.

If you stop thinking that there is no effect, the effect will truly disappear at that point.

Just posting on social media every day and sharing information will make a big difference.

This is because I have to brush up on my writing each time I say this, so it might be a good idea to discuss this with someone and decide on it.

So, can someone who has never done any of the things I've written about so far suddenly succeed in business?

Unfortunately, it's all about reading the trends, and it's rare for someone to suddenly start making money.

I think it's better to take action yourself than to wait for something so rare to happen.

If you keep waiting to win the lottery like that, there's no way you'll be able to take on the fierce warriors who have been through a hundred battles.

The ramen shop you frequent should not only have good tasting ramen, but also run its business and accounting perfectly.

They are professionals in their field.

So if you think you have nothing, you should ask for advice from experienced entrepreneurs.

Blindly accepting and believing all the information on the internet is like asking someone to scam you.

The important thing is to do your own research

For most stories, there is data somewhere to back it up.

Check it out and you'll see if it's possible

For example, even if you read this article and think, "Maybe I should try starting a business?", have you actually gathered information on starting a business afterwards?

Don't you just spend your days watching TikTok and YouTube?

That's pointless

You should gather information about starting a business, even if it's just for 10 minutes a day.

Because you're the manager

There should be no manager who doesn't think about the company.

You can start from an agency instead of a company.

You receive the know-how, but you do the actual work.

Here I will write down some ideas for small steps to starting a business, but next week I will break them down into components.

  • consultant

  • writer

  • designer

  • Online Shop

  • Franchises and agencies

  • Sewing service

There are other things, but they have not yet surfaced to the world, and they are things I have not yet fully grasped.
